Last I heard, Senate President Manny villar was ousted from his post in the government office in a senate coup that replaced him with Juan Ponce Enrile. But he's not doing so bad these days given his real estate business is doing pretty well, Vista Land and Landscapes Inc. owned by Senate President Manuel Villar Jr. has reportedly posted growth this year to the tune of millions!
Vista Land core net income increased by 42.8 percent for the first nine months of 2008 from the P1.603 billion it recorded in the same period in 2007
Not half bad for a government official I'd say. At least the money wasn't acquired through graft and corruption - or he wasn't caught acquiring it through graft and corruption anyway (for now).
