Manny Pacquiao's Middle Age Crisis

Manny "pacman" Pacquiao is undergoing middle age crisis. Why do I say so? Well the boxer is the best in the Philippines. He has millions upon millions of dollars in winnings and endorsement fees. Manny Pacquiao is a seven division champion for crying out loud! He's the only person in the world who has ever done that!

And yet instead of quitting while he's ahead, instead of keeping his name clean, credible and on everyone's good side -- he goes into politics, he goes into showbiz and he continues to make risky decisions in terms of his next boxing matches.

Although I do tend to be on the safe side, and I also believe that Manny's greatness is in his guts and capacity to take risks (aside from the talent & skill he already possesses)

Recent news about his leg injury (which has been there longer than everyone thinks by the way), is making waves and potentially trying to even the odds on his next fight (gambling reasons most likely)

Manny has been rumored to be in affairs with a number of sexy stars in the Philippines (Ara Mina before and now Krista Ranillo). If that isn't a sign of trouble, I don't know what is. The poor (rich) wife, Jinkee Pacquiao who picked him up when we was a nobody is now suffering from all the ghastly news. I wouldn't mind though as long as all the money still ended up with me

Even Manny's mother - Aling Dionisia is making waves in Philippine showbiz. Manny is slowly shifting his attention to the limelight of Hollywood with multiple guestings in many shows like Jimmy Kimmel and even a concert of his own. The identity crisis is daunting.

Good idea though moving from boxing to showbiz given he has probably had enough punches thrown at him. Here's hoping the fame doesn't wear off before he retires

Whose wide are you on -- Manny Pacquiao vs Oscar dela Hoya

Oscar De La Hoya is down 147 pounds for weeks, and one look at him in a track suit Wednesday seemed to back that up, while Manny Pacquiao has been eating as much as he could to match the weight requirement.

This seems to be a highly improbable if not incompatible match having to get both boxers out of their comfort zones and making them starve and/or gorge themselves just to meet the right weight for this boxing event

Pacquiao is the underdog in this matchup being much smaller than De La Hoya who has fought with Floyd Mayweather Jr. for crying out loud!

The business logic of this fight though is very sound, De La Hoya needs people to remember that he's still alive and no longer just a legend we talk about in past tense. And Pacquiao is just so far up at the top of his game he just can't seem to stop fighting. Seems like he still has something to prove to the world (despite the fact the entire Philippines now loves him). So either way, both boxers have something to gain whether they win or lose.

Manny Pacquiao Wins Again! KOs Diaz In the 9th Round!

In the midst of all the tragedies, rice and gasoline prices going up, people dying in the Sulpicio ship sinking, sometimes it just takes one win - like Pacquiao's winning match today to lift everyone's spirits.

Cebu city was almost at a standstill this morning as everyone crowded over every available television set to watch if Manny “Pacman” Pacquiao still has it in him to beat WBC lightweight champion David Diaz.

And apparently after knocking him out in the 9th round he still has some spunk left in him - you go Pacman! I'm not particularly a big fan of the guy because I've heard he's a womanizer and a pig-headed jock but nevertheless he is still the first Asian to hold four different titles at different weights and the first Filipino to hold the crown.

You can't help but be proud of that!
