Crazy Vicky Belo - Misses Hayden Kho

After the very public display of infidelity, it seems Dr. Vicky Belo has gone gaga over ex-boyfriend Hayden Kho.

Only a few weeks ago, Manila Bulletin Entertainment Online reported the sighting of Belo and Kho together at the club, Encore, formerly known as Embassy.

Yesterday, February 23, Belo was again seen with Kho during his arraignment.

“Pero ‘di naman kami nag-usap masyado!” she emphasized. “In fact, I was planning to sit in the back and not talk to him at all na parang fan lang niya ako kunyari. Sasaglit lang ako, kumbaga.

“But then I saw him and I said to myself, ‘Shucks! Ang gwapo pa din niya...’”

Vicki said that it was her and Hayden’s lawyer, Atty. Lorna Kapunan, who suggested that the doctor give her ex “moral support” by seeing him. And since Vicki wanted to check how far she has moved on from their romantic relationship, she gave it a “try.”

“I’m the one who broke the promise that’s why I feel bad. But he looked happy naman to see me... I think I made him feel better,” she said.

And so is she. Vicki admits that since February 23, “Tawa ako ng tawa...prior to that kasi, parang naging boring ang buhay...parang walang meaning kasi walang kilig.”

In the meantime check out the newest models for Belo - watch out Hayden might end up sleeping with them soon too

Who Really Won In Pinoy Big Brother Double Up?

There's a lot of controversy surrounding the winner of the most recent Pinoy Big Brother Double Up edition - Melai Cantiveros, who was just third in the running a day before the voting ended.

Paul Jake Castillo had a striking lead to start with, it's hard to believe Melai caught up in such a short amount of time

Sources tell me, hours before the voting was supposed to end - votes for Paul Jake were already being rejected. Many rumors have surfaced saying that the results were rigged by ABS-CBN for Melai to become the big winner.

Did ABS-CBN rig Pinoy Big Brother Double Up? What do you think?

I think they did. If they had Paul Jake become the Big Winner, they would have been accused of being in it just for the money (which they probably are by the way). ABS plays with the results to make the public sweetheart win "against all odds" so to speak. Their biggest mistake really was they showed the running votes prior to the last day. I think that was a ploy to even increase the text votes, which must have worked at some point.

Political Rat Race in The Philippines

Here's an update on the Philippine political rat race. Basically Noynoy Aquino is riding on the fame of now-deceased parents - but otherwise considered mediocre, while Manny Villar is said to be all about the money. I'm not about to mouth him off since he's managed his businesses well so far (Vista Land) who knows how he's manage the country. Third in line is former president Erap Estrada, I have no idea why he's running after being imprisoned for graft & corruption

Anyway if you want a more credible source, here's a blow by blow from ABS-CBN News

Sen. Benigno 'Noynoy' Aquino III has regained the lead over Sen. Manuel Villar in the latest presidential survey conducted January 28-February 3 by Taylor Nelson Sofres (TNS).

According to the TNS survey obtained by ABS-CBN News' Ces OreƱa Drilon, Aquino was chosen by 41.54% of 3,000 respondents while Villar was picked by 30.63%.

TNS is a global market research firm with an office in the Philippines.

Aquino and Villar were statistically tied in a Pulse Asia survey conducted from January 22 -26, or around a week before the TNS survey, with the Liberal Party bet garnering 37% and the Nacionalista Party (NP) standard-bearer getting 35%. (Read: Aquino, Villar tied in Pulse Asia survey)

Third in the Jan. 28-Feb. 3 TNS survey was former President Joseph Ejercito Estrada of the Pwersa ng Masang Pilipino (PMP) with 11.66%, statistically the same as in the last Pulse Asia survey where he got 12%.

Administration candidate Gilbert Teodoro of the Lakas-Kampi-CMD was fourth with 5.21%, the same as in the last Pulse Asia survey.

Bro. Eddie Villaneuva got 2%, Senator Richard Gordon got 1.7%, Senator Jamby Madrigal got 0.22%, also statistically the same as what they received in the January 22 to 26 Pulse Asia survey.

Villar ethics case as factor

The TNS survey was done around a week after a heated controversy over Villar's ethics case erupted in the Senate, which could be one reason for the changes in the ratings of the two leading presidential candidates.

The Senate committee of the whole's report accusing Villar of unethical conduct in connection with the C-5 road extension project was taken up during the plenary on January 25. The committee had ordered him to return over P6 billion in government funds that were allegedly wasted for the project. (Read: Senators clash in plenary over Villar ethics case)

On January 26, Senate President Enrile also accused Villar of trying to bribe him to change his stand on the issue. (Read: Enrile claims Villar tried to buy him off)

The Senate, however, failed to act on the report after Villar's supporters failed to show up on the last session day of the 14th Congress.

NP downplays survey results

The TNS survey was apparently commissioned by the Aquino camp.

Asked for his comment, NP spokesman and senatorial bet Gilbert Remulla said the report does not disclose how the questions were phrased and whether they were slanted for or against any candidate

"Alam namin na ito ay galing sa Liberal Party. Ayaw nilang banggitin 'yung pangalan eh. Dahil doon, hindi rin namin alam kung ano 'yung mga tanong, kung ano ang slant n'yan, kaya sa ganon ay hihintayin na lang namin ang magiging resulta ng survey ng SWS at Pulse Asia," Remulla said.

("We know this was commissioned by the Liberal Party. They don't want to disclose the name. We also do not know the questions, whether these were slanted...So, we'll just wait for the results of SWS [Social Weather Stations] and Pulse Asia.")

According to the TNS website, it first set up an office in the Philippines in 1983. It offers "full service operations covering all aspects of marketing research and consulting" and claims to be "No. 1 in the Philippines for customised market research."

"Almost 30 years of research experience has made us experts in understanding the Philippines trade and consumer environment. These insights are critical to helping our clients make their important business decisions," TNS Philippines says.

"TNS Philippines offers in-house field and data processing services backed by stringent quality control procedures to make sure the analysis and recommendations we deliver are accurate and timely," the firm says on its website.

Parents: Watch Out For Dengue - Outbreak in Cebu May Be Soon

Cebu City has 217 cases of dengue and six deaths recorded from January to February 13 of this year alone sharing the biggest bulk out of the 724 dengue cases in the region of the same period, based on the dengue registry record

With intentions to minimize infections from dengue strain, PIA Information Services notes:

A vaccine being developed to protect against the dengue virus is currently being tested to children aged six to 14 years old in Cebu City where the incidence of dengue cases is increasing.

Dr. Jocelyn Abellana, the regional dengue coordinator of the Dept. of Health (DOH-7) bared the news during a recent PIA Kapihan that tackled the perennial health threat of dengue disease in the city.

"The Armed Forces Research Institute of Medical Sciences is establishing a satellite unit at the Vicente Sotto Memorial Medical Center and they are trying a new vaccine against dengue," Abellana said.

Summer Flights to Boracay - Back On For Cebu Pacific Starting March 1

Hello Bora! Hello Summer! Read in the news recently the Cebu Pacific just reinstated their flights to Caticlan after about seven months of boring non-inclusion of the region

Here are a couple of paragraphs from the Manila Standard Today article:

The budget carrier suspended its flights to Caticlan on July 10 last year after airport officials ruled that airlines may use only smaller planes and only one end of the runway for takeoffs and landings because of its short length. It used the airport in Kalibo instead.

Last month, however, aviation officials told Cebu Pacific that it may now take off both ways on the runway, which is being extended in a P2.5-billion modernization project that aims to upgrade all facilities.

“The airline expects to resume full Caticlan operations by March 28 with 11 Manila-Caticlan-Manila flights and 1 Cebu-Caticlan-Cebu flight daily,” vice president Candice Iyog said.

“This gives [Cebu Pacific] the most number of airline seats to and from Caticlan,” she said, adding the airline will use its brand-new ATR 72-500 aircraft with a seating capacity of 40
